Antique and prestigious villa, summer residence of De Giorgi’s family, famous among the upper salentine middle class for the elegance and refinement of the lady of the house “Donna Marietta” who, during the summer and autumnal seasons used to welcome hers and her husband’s friends who arrived to Lecce for enjoying the charm of the Salento countryside and the richness of the baroque style.
Villa “La Viola” – so named in the ancient documents –is now an integral part of the core urban center, a few minutes walk from the historical center of the town.
In the mid-eighties the current owners Giampaolo and Maria Sofia realized an able restoring project, drawing particular attention to the architectural construction of “volte a stella” (star ceiling) and Art Nouveau friezes carved in “pietra leccese” precious stone famous throughout the world for its flexibility and its amber color.

The B & B has three large bedrooms, two of which overlooking the garden, the breakfast room with a kitchenette and a spacious suite.
Completely independent and quiet, furnished with elegance, Bed & Breakfast Antica Villa La Viola is particularly suitable for a demanding and refined customers tastes.

The suite of 120 square meters, is an open space with a fireplace and can accommodate 2 or more people.
During the Spring and Summer, guests can enjoy too the beautiful garden of the villa where they will have the opportunity to relax with a book or the possibility to connect to internet under an elegant gazebo furnished with comfortable sofas.
A few meters from the villa there is a private low cost garage for one car or you can park for free in the surrounding streets.
